101st Anniversary Battle of Dytiatyn
The celebrations in Dytiatyn began with a Holy Mass at the War Cemetery at 12 with the participation of the Polish Army and all invited guests. The Holy Mass was presided over by the Custodian of the Custody of the Holy Cross, Fr. Stanisław Kawa. After the Mass, the Vice-Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, Ms. Małgorzata Gosiewska, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Kiev, Mr. Bartosz Cichocki, addressed their speeches.
Then, flowers were solemnly laid at the Cemetery to pay tribute to the fallen heroes of Dytiatyn. The ceremony was crowned by a patriotic performance by children from the Polish school in Dolina, Ukraine. It was a moving and beautifully experienced time. As every year, we are grateful for the memory and presence in this important place for Poland. The ceremony took place on September 18, 2021.
